General Information

Characteristics:
Body sub cilindric, rounded off abdomen enough. Back border of the gill that opens rounded off softly; 3 to 5 striaes separate of body that you/they radiate downward in a lower part of the opérculo; lower rakes of gill that don't arrive to be briefer in the angle of the first arc of gill, the superior series not coinciding the lowest. Hard 2 anal rays of fin widened.

Distribution:
Northeast Atlantic: Iceland, rare, and Sea of the North, in Southern direction Bay of Gorée, Senegal. Mediterranean sea, common in the western part and in the Adriatic Sea, rare in the part of the east, sea of Mármara and Black Sea.
